The Times

Ypsigrock excelled once again, it must now be seen as one of the most tasteful and considered ‘boutique’ festivals in Europe, if not the world.

Gigwise

The best festival you’ll only find if you leave the beaten track of the European circuit behind.

The 405

There’s a mysterious charm to this Sicilian event that is nigh on impossible to put into words.

CLASH

Un appuntamento che ha saputo diventare meta turistica, momento di aggregazione e di cultura, e soprattutto uno stato mentale.

Stefano Cuzzocrea (Journalist and unforgettable Friend)

YPSIGROCK FESTIVAL 2024 – WHAT / WHEN / WHERE

Ypsigrock Festival returns in August 2024 (8-11 AUG 2024) for its 27th Anniversary at its stunning location: the imposing Castle of Castelbuono, in Sicily, Italy. The charming venue takes you back in time, inside the medieval town Castelbuono, nestled between the Madonie Mountains and the sea on Sicily’s north coast. Tickets are now available at our Tickets Page.

You need a valid festival ticket (festival pass or day tickets) to attend the live shows scheduled from 8 to 11 August. The shows start in mid-afternoon. The stages at Ypsigrock Festival are 4, but they don’t play at the same time, so each band performs without clashes.

AGE RESTRICTIONS AND TIPS

We welcome all ages to the festival. However, there are entry restrictions for under 16s. Anyone 15 and under must be accompanied by a ticket holder over 18 years old at all times. ID is required upon entry to the event. Together with the purchase of a children’s reduced ticket, it will be necessary to show a valid identity document confirming the age of the child for which the ticket is purchased. In the absence of the documents certifying the child’s age, the payment of the full ticket will be required.

Children 0-5 years don’t need a ticket and they are admitted free.

Kids 6-12 years will need a Kid Ticket (Kid day ticket: 5€ + fees / Kid festival pass: 10€ + fees).

Teenagers 13 and over must have a standard adult ticket.

All under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is over 18 years old (and standard adult ticket holder) on entering and leaving the festival, and this adult must remain on site throughout the weekend.

Make sure to be mindful of the noise level. Protect your child’s hearing, please. Use hearing protection. Bring earplugs or ear muffs with you because there is potential for loud noise. This is a cheap, easy, and effective way to preserve kids’ (and adults’) hearing. Without these protective tools the admission of children to the concert area may be refused. Keep a distance from noise sources. Don’t let kids stand near speakers or other noise emitters. Leave if noise is enough to cause discomfort. Ringing and pain are signs that ears need a break. If your child is complaining, covering his or her ears, or seems uncomfortable, consider an early exit.

WARNING: strobe lights are used during some performances.

THINGS YOU CAN AND CAN’T BRING

Ypsigrock Festival will not tolerate any anti-social, violent, abusive, disruptive, offensive, inappropriate or illegal behaviour. Such action will result in immediate eviction from the venue without a refund. Additional action may include Police involvement and / or a venue ban.

Ypsigrock Festival reserves the right to refuse entry to any persons. Anyone suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will automatically be refused entry.

WRISTBAND POLICY

DO NOT REMOVE YOUR WRISTBAND.

Everyone on site must wear a wristband. If yours is damaged or lost you may not be able to enter the Festival and/or may be required to leave the site. Wristbands must be worn and visible at all times.
No wristband, no entry, no exceptions – this includes campgrounds!
20€ replacement fee for any damaged or broken wristbands with proof of purchase and broken band.
Full Festival Passes holders will receive one wristband for the entire festival. Do not remove it unless you are not returning to the festival or the campgrounds for the remainder of the event.
Disorderly conduct and destroying of property will not be tolerated and is grounds for ejection.
So here are a few tips on looking after your wristband.
Ensure your wristband is secure. The clasp should be firmly in place and not slipping up or down.
Do not tamper with your wristband in any way. The wristband will have has loose ends – do not remove these until after the festival.
Do not tie knots or add anything to your wristband. All wristband are checked each time you enter the concert area and at various checkpoints around the site.
If you are sensitive to the plastic on the clasp protect your skin with hypoallergenic tape.
Keep your wristband safe. Even if a wristband appears secure it may still be lost or stolen – especially in busy areas.
To prevent the loose ends snagging or annoying you, cover it with an elasticated sweatband or a long sleeved top with elasticated cuffs. This way you will keep it safe but you will still be able to show it at checkpoints easily.
If you have a problem with your wristband, speak to a member of staff as soon as possible. If you are outside the concert area, go to the box office where someone will help and advise you. If you are inside the concert area, go to the entrance and, without leaving the area, ask for the supervisor who will be able to help.
Wristbands remain the property of Ypsigrock Festival until 2pm Monday 14th August 2023.

If weather conditions or other conditions represent a danger to attendees, the bands or the staff, the organization reserves the right to reschedule or cancel some performances, even without notice.
Weather conditions less threatening may still cause changes in the program, in order to ensure the safety of all the attendees and everyone involved in the organization of the Festival.
