Dear Ypsini,
due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will be the first time in 24 years without Ypsi, as this year’s edition of the festival will be postponed to 5th-8th August 2021.
We are deeply saddened but first and foremost, the health and safety of all our audience, staff and artists, along with our local Castelbuono community are most important.
Our Festival can’t go ahead if it not everyone feels safe.
In Italy all mass gatherings are still banned, and according to the technical prescriptions of the Italian scientific committee, concerts and other cultural events can only take place in conditions of social and physical distancing that cannot be applied to our beloved venues, so at the moment there is no other option for us: we are forced to postpone the 2020 edition.
We have monitored closely all the developments and we have waited for new requirements hoping to receive less restrictive indications from the Italian Government, we’ve held on as long as we can, but unfortunately we can no longer wait. It takes a whole year to build Ypsigrock and it cannot be put together in less time, especially in this uncertain situation.
It hurts a lot and we know it’s not easy for you either and we would like to thank everyone for their continued love, support and patience.
We are working hard on keeping the line up 2021 as planned for 2020. And we’re pleased to announce that Dardust, IOSONOUNCANE, The Murder Capital, COMA, Camilla Sparksss and 5K HD have already confirmed they will be joining us in 2021. And more acts are still to be confirmed.
We will work even harder making it worth to wait.
All ticket holders will be able to roll over tickets to 2021.
As a small independent festival we encourage you to hold onto your tickets, if you can.
However, full refunds will also be available via DICE to those unable to attend our 2021 dates (5th-8th August 2021) and partial refunds or special benefits will be available for the Christmas Box 2020 buyers.
Stay safe and take care of yourself and your loved ones.
Let us meet again in 2021! Il futuro è già nostalgia.
