Complimentary video/photo passes for Ypsigrock Festival are very limited. NOT ALL APPLICATIONS WILL BE APPROVED. Ypsigrock Festival reserves the right to approve or deny any publication or media personnel credentials and access to media area and photo pits for any reason.
It is expressly forbidden to photograph or film a band without having received permission.
If you are seen capturing video of performances or other areas of the festival without permission, your credentials will be immediately revoked. Security personnel will be checking bags and will not allow video equipment onto the festival grounds. The only personnel allowed to capture the video footage at Ypsigrock Festival are select partners and Ypsigrock’s internal promo crew.
Professional cameras are only allowed for Photo Pass holders. Approved Media attendees will NOT be able to bring in a professional camera to capture experiential shots and security personnel will be checking bags and credentials to enforce this.
Only photographers with professional cameras such as SLR and interchangeable lens cameras will be allowed into the photography pits (point-and-shoot cameras will not be permitted).
*Due to the large amount of photo pass requests we receive and the limited space in the photo pits, photo passes are VERY limited and do not include access to back stage or on stage areas. If your outlet is approved for a media credential, that does NOT mean you will be approved for photography as well.
A Photo Pass gives you access into the photo pits at the combined discretion of Ypsigrock Festival and the bands. An individual can either request a Press pass or a Photo pass, but not both.
Photo pit regulations vary from artist to artist and may change before and during the festival. Access may be revoked at anytime and is not guaranteed. Photographers will be expected to adhere to all forthcoming photo pit rules and regulations.
Note: Ypsigrock Festival’s standard protocol (if applicable) is to approve no more than one photographer per outlet. As mentioned above, photography passes are very limited and we will not be able to grant all outlets a Photo Pass. Only one photographer per publication will be considered.
All applications are subject to Festival approval. Incomplete or incorrect applications will not be considered.
